Costa Rica WeddingsCosta Rica Weddings my wife and I were married in here and we think it was one of the most beautiful experiences. Oh and the fun of planning and coordinating from several thousands of miles away really put the fun in wedding planning! We relied heavily on friends we had made there to help us navigate through this process. For our wedding we chose the beach in Manuel Antonio at sunset to start our lives together. This was the easy part!
Now all we had to do was design the invitations, work with a florist for the flower arrangements, pick the hotel, find a lawyer, navigate the legal system in Costa Rica and make sure we had everything necessary for the US Embassy so we were legal in the US, get the cake, photographer and videographer. Get this group including the hair dresser, make up person and witnesses all to the same location at the same time. Plus have the flowers, chairs and necessary items on the beach and set up all timed to have the final vows and pictures right at sunset. NO PROBLEM!!
The Wedding PlansKnowing people in the area is a great help. We were able to work with a local florist who also helped with the invitations. This also got us in touch with a bakery for the cake. This was a small wedding so we didn't need a lot of cake. We picked the hotel for the event La Mansion in Manuel Antonio. This is a very beautiful hotel that has a lot to offer. They were fantastic working with us to make our wedding and honeymoon very enjoyable. Now that you have chosen your wedding site you will have to find out what is necessary to conduct the wedding ceremony. We found a local lawyer who helped us get through all the necessary paperwork and potential issues that seemed to pop up.
